Biography

Spears graduated from Allegheny College in 1953 and got his Ph.D. in chemistry from University of Buffalo in 1960. His research was in the area of cancer chemotherapy.

Alex W. Spears was a Lorillard CEO and R&D scientist. [2] A. W. Spears was employed by Lorillard, Inc. and served as Executive Vice President from 1989 to 1992; served as Executive Vice President (Operations & Research) in 1993 and then again in 1995. [3] Spears was associated with Council for Tobacco Research. [4] He was used as an expert in the Mississippi case.
