Audrae Erickson is the President of the Corn Refiners Association. Between 2002 and 2009, she was also a lobbyist for the Corn Refiners Association. She was also a lobbyist for the American Farm Bureau Federation from 1999 to 2005. In 2011, she was appointed to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's and U.S. Trade Representative's Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee.
According to her bio on the Corn Refiners Association blog:
- "In her role as president of the CRA, Audrae Erickson has launched a national multimedia advertising campaign to correct the record on high fructose corn syrup, resolved a sweetener dispute with Mexico, worked to keep European markets open for corn gluten feed, and steered the CRA’s efforts to provide science-based information on processed corn products in the context of the national obesity debate. Audrae’s knowledge of and interest in agriculture and international trade run deep. She specialized in agricultural trade issues at the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF), was responsible for oversight of a variety of agricultural trade issues at the United States Trade Representative’s (USTR) Office, and served as an economist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Economic Research Service (USDA/ERS). She is a mom to three beautiful, healthy kids who are active and eat sandwiches on whole wheat bread made with high fructose corn syrup. Audrae jokes that she lives every mother’s dream—she actually is married to a rocket scientist. Oh, and none of her staff knows how she does it all—campaign coordination, meetings, trade matters, etc., etc., etc. … must be that ability to multi-task 10 things at a time."
