Everett Ellis Briggs
"After a 37 year career in the U.S. Foreign Service (including as ambassador to three countries, and as a member of the National Security Council under the first President Bush), Ted became president and CEO of two associated New York-based organizations - one educational, and the other a Latin American trade and investment advocacy group. He retired in 1998, is treasurer of the Norfolk Land Trust, president of the Taconic Learning Center, and on the steering ommittee of Norfolk's Coalition for Sound Growth. He has served on Norfolk's board of finance, and in 2002 was elected to the school board. Among national organizations in which Ted is active are the Committee for a Free Cuba, the U.S.-Panama Business Council, and the Portuguese-American Leadership Council. Ambassador Briggs holds degrees from Dartmouth, Gearge Washington University, and is a graduate of the National War College."
