"Francine Stein, known as Frankie, is an accomplished executive with more than 30 years of experience in public policy, financial management, fundraising, and health care operations. As President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic, she led the ninth-largest comprehensive reproductive health care agency in the United States and has served on local, state, and national boards and policy commissions. Frankie was also Vice President of Development for Planned Parenthood Federation of America, where she led a comprehensive development program that provided $70+ million annually to support charitable and political activities. Frankie’s focus on women and families grew from her strong commitment to reproductive rights and social justice and her pioneering work with Head Start, international development, and inter-faith programs.
"Ms. Stein also specializes in assisting non-profit organizations build capacity in leadership areas, including board development and governance, senior management effectiveness, new program implementation, and fundraising.
"Ms. Stein received a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from The Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in government and religion from Barnard College. Her accomplishments and expertise in clinical service, public policy and fundraising have been recognized for excellence and innovation, and she has received numerous awards for leadership. In 2008, Barnard College recognized her life long contributions to women and civil rights with the Millicent Carey McIntosh Award for Feminism."
