Joseph Ravitch was a media banker with Goldman Sachs who retired from the firm in March, 2009.

"Forty-seven year old Ravitch was a driving force behind a number of media deals, including the creation of the YES television network, the formation of the NBA China joint partnership, and the sale of the New Jersey Nets and Seattle Supersonics basketball clubs...

"He currently serves as co-head of Goldman’s media practice with another longtime media player, Andy Gordon, who has been in the post since 2002. Gordon will continue to run the group." [1]
