In September 2017 it was reported that Poland’s energy minister Krzysztof Tchorzewski expects state-run utility Enea to build a 500 megawatt IGCC plant in Leczna for around 5 billion zlotys (US$1.41 billion). The plant would use coal from the Bogdanka coal mine, which is 66% owned by Enea.[1]
