"Founded in 2001, LBV has about 150 members and lobbies central Government and local authorities on economic policies and other business issues. The group took the lead in the drawing up of an economic development strategy for the county, which has helped influence the thinking of Leicester City Council, Leicestershire County Council and Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership... LBV was originally called the Leicester Shire Initiative and its first chairman was Neil Morris, who at the time was senior partner at KPMG in the city." [1]
