The 2000 article notes: "Ms. Glynn, who is 34 and will keep her name, is the spokeswoman for Ambassador Richard C. Holbrooke, the permanent representative of the United States at the United Nations, and for the United States' Mission to the United Nations. She graduated from Northwestern and received a master's degree in international relations and communications from Boston University.
"She is a daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Kevin P. Glynn of La Jolla. Her father, a pulmonary specialist, is the chief of staff at Scripps-Mercy Hospital in San Diego. Her mother, Patricia H. Glynn, is a sales associate and instructor at the Needle Nook, a needlepoint shop in La Jolla."
