Pete Dangermond "is president of The Dangermond Group, which he founded in 1983. He brings to his consulting practice a life-long professional career devoted to parks and recreation and allied fields of wildlife conservation and open space preservation. With over 40 years of professional experience, Pete utilizes his training as a landscape architect and his experience in government and the private sector to pursue innovative and pragmatic approaches to planning on projects.
"His work is distinctive in emphasizing the development of partnerships among the right combination of public and private entities to effectuate the project, facilitating diverse interests in identifying and attaining common goals, visualizing the broadest possible range of opportunities and constraints affecting the project, and providing effective leadership and coordination among teams of specialists.
"Pete serves on the board of the Save-the-Redwoods League and as the executive director for the Riverside Land Conservancy. He recently completed a term on the National Park Service Advisory Board to which he was appointed by Interior Secretary Bruce Babbitt." 
"Prior to establishing The Dangermond Group, Pete was Director of the State of California Department of Parks and Recreation. Prior to joining the State Parks Department, he worked as parks director for the Counties of Monterey and San Bernardino."
