"Rachael Knight is an attorney with expertise in the areas of land tenure security, access to justice and legal empowerment of the poor. She is currently working for the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) running a service and research project on "best practices" for community land titling and administration to increase land tenure for rural small-scale farmers in East Africa. A graduate of the UC Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall), Rachael worked for seven years founding and running medical-legal partnership programs to increase low-income families' access to justice within hospitals in the San Francisco Bay Area and fostering replication of the model throughout California. She was a Fulbright Scholar from 2001-2002 and an Equal Justice Works fellow from 2005-2007. In addition to her work for Women's Earth Alliance, Rachael has been a consultant for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations since 2004, working both for the Legal Development Service and the Land Tenure division of the Natural Resources Management and Environment department."
