Robert A. Burton
Burton was also appointed to this position in 2001 and again in September 2003. "Prior to his appointment to OFPP, Burton served as the senior associate general counsel (Acquisition) for the Defense Contract Management Agency. In this position, he negotiated the resolution of high-dollar cost disputes with major defense contractors. He also has worked with the Defense Logistics Agency and as general counsel of the Defense Energy Support Center, also serving on the Defense Acquisition Regulations Council.
"Burton received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and is a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute and the Senior Executive Fellows Program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He is active in the American Bar Association’s Section of Public Contract Law ... He is admitted to the Virginia and D.C. Bars."
