Talk:Australian Environment Foundation
188.8.131.52 made unexplained changes to the article which I have reverted. The most substantial changes were that Barry Cohen was the first chair of AEF and that the registered address is now in Crows Nest. It is possible that these are both right but they were unsourced and unreferenced. I'm happy to accomodate them if there is some explanation about what the source for the information is.
As for the suggestion that Burke was a pioneer of the environmental movement in Australia that is both puffery and inaccurate. See Tim Bonyhady's The Colonial Earth. Nor could Burke even claim to be a pioneer of the modern environmental movement - he just wasn't anywhere to be seen in environmental politics in the 1960's, 1970 or even most of the 1980's.--Bob Burton 02:32, 4 Aug 2005 (EDT)
Relocate here pending a query. "It is a requirement that these groups do not lobby government."
- I'm not sure this is right. I know that there are some who are arguing for this, but I'm not sure that it is current policy. Though the current appeal of Aidwatch over the removal of their tax-deductibility does touch on this issue. Please correct me if I am wrong. --Bob Burton 06:34, 16 August 2007 (EDT)
