In 2001 Dominion joined with Anker Energy to propose a 450 megawatt (MW) coal plant in Upshur County, West Virginia. [1] The plant was planned to burn 65% waste coal that would be produced on-site. In April 2002, Dominion cancelled the planned project, citing excessive costs. [2]
