Vedanta plans to invest $300 million in a 300 megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Zambia.[1] The plant is planned for southern Zambia and would fuel the Konkola deep mine in Chililabombwe, as well as the setting up of a cobalt refinery and other projects.[2]
